Due to the prohibitive cost of maintaining the aging Bibb, she was decommissioned on 30 September 1984 after a career spanning over 48 years. She was sunk as an artificial reef off the coast of Florida in 1987. The following pictures reflect the ‘BIBB’ at rest.
